Michigan Aging and Disabilities Resource Centers (ADRCs)
ADRCs around the nation are operated jointly by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the US Administration on Community Living. They provide a long list of services and other support to disabled individuals and senior citizens. Go through the location nearest you.
Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA)
For disabled US veterans who are Michigan residents, the state’s DMVA is your go-to resource for all sorts of services and support. If your impaired mobility is a result of or was made worse by military duty or VA care, you are entitled to financial help and other assistance. This often includes a disability grant to get you the wheelchair van, handicap van, or vehicle equipment and modifications you need.
