Grants for Wheelchair Accessible Vans in Iowa

Financial Resources for Funding a Handicap Van in Iowa
Financial Resources for Funding a Handicap Van in Iowa

Iowa disability grants are available to help state residents achieve their goals of owning a wheelchair van. They can also go toward installing modifications to enhance vehicle accessibility, such as lowered flooring, wheelchair and scooter ramps or lifts, pivoting seating systems and adaptive driving hand controls.

If you live in Iowa and require a handicap van, there are lots of sources for state-based financial aid. Some of the groups identified below award disability grants to individuals directly. Those that don’t have been included because they will steer you toward promising resources you may not encounter while doing your own research. Many can also assist with application processes and provide other support, too.

Remember, charitable groups set up for persons with particular disabilities are also essential sources of disability grant money, information and other help. Check in with your state chapters.

Mobility Consultations: If you are unsure about what type of conversion would be best for you — or would like assistance with finding financial resources, you can request a Free Needs Analysis and Mobility Consultation at any of The Mobility Resource dealer locations.
